Sharjah24: His Excellency Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of the Central Operations , announced that the Police Science Academy (PSA) organised a conference focused on the important topic of "Challenges of Crises and Natural Disasters."
The conference shed lights on analysing the effects of the recent weather depression that affected both the state and the Emirate of Sharjah, and the resulting implications of these weather events.
Al Naour mentioned that during the initial session, the main focus was on recognising the positive aspects and areas that could be enhanced following each event. The objective was to swiftly address any issues and implement measures to avoid similar incidents in the future.
The session also highlighted the importance of concerted efforts among all institutions and sectors, working with the crisis and disaster management team , to address the crisis and speed up the recovery process in order to restore normalcy.
He emphasised the importance of organising regular conferences to address security challenges in times of crisis. The recent conference concluded with several recommendations, highlighting the need for ongoing discussions in such circumstances.
Additionally, it underscored the significance of educating the public to avoid spreading and consuming unofficial and inaccurate news, and instead rely on official sources for information.
