Sharjah 24: The Friends of Arthritis Patients held a closing ceremony at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park to celebrate the winners of the Arthritis Friendly Schools Award. During the event, the honoured schools and students were recognised for their achievements.
Samira Ismail Al Qassab, Secretary of the Friends of Arthritis Patients under the Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, stated that the schools winning the Arthritis Friendly Schools Award have demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting their students' innovative projects on arthritis prevention and early screening methods.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24,” Al Qassab confirmed that the award includes students from three school levels in Sharjah, the central and the eastern regions. These students presented innovative projects and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of arthritis prevention and early detection. During the ceremony, students showcased their creative projects aimed at improving the quality of life for patients within educational institutions.
Al Qassab added that the next edition of the award will include significant updates to the evaluation criteria. Schools that do not achieve a rating of “exceeds expectations” will be excluded, and new standards will be introduced to encourage greater efforts from participating schools.
