Sharjah Council Enhances Mosque Services and Islamic Affairs

Sharjah24: The Committee of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security Affairs and Public Utilities of the Sharjah Consultative Council held a meeting attended by council members who submitted their questions to be addressed during the upcoming discussion on the policies of the Department of Islamic Affairs.
During the meeting, several key issues were reviewed, focusing on the overall goals and policies of the department and its significant responsibilities in overseeing mosques and the various aspects of Islamic outreach. The committee also discussed the results of its recent visit to the Department of Islamic Affairs, where they observed the department's efforts in maintaining mosques and promoting the benevolent message of Islam through its various programs.

The meeting, held at the council headquarters, was chaired by Engineer Jamila Al-Fandi Al-Shamsi, Chairperson of the Committee, and attended by committee members, council members who submitted the questions, Amna Basleib, Session Affairs Officer and Committee Secretary, and Islam Al-Shiouhi, Media Expert from the General Secretariat of the Council.

During the meeting, the committee, along with the council members who submitted the questions, deliberated on various important issues related to the role of the Department of Islamic Affairs in spreading the message of Islam with wisdom and good advice. They discussed the department's efforts in maintaining mosques, overseeing mosque staff, and enhancing their efforts.

A set of important questions and inquiries were formulated, aimed at improving the department’s work in the Emirate of Sharjah, highlighting the attention given to the maintenance of mosques, facilitating communal prayers, and providing all necessary services and facilities to perform prayers in a spiritual environment.
