Sharjah 24: Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, awarded the Department of Awqaf for securing first place in the Sharjah Voluntary for Award Work's government agency category for the 21st edition.
The Department of Awqaf 's endeavours in advancing specific charitable initiatives and diverse volunteer opportunities have garnered significant attention and participation from all sectors of society, in collaboration with the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work. Notably, the department achieved third place in the previous year.
Talib Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Awqaf remarked, "This accomplishment motivates us to persist in delivering further volunteer initiatives. Our goal is to cultivate social responsibility, promote the Awqaf Sunnah, foster a culture of charitable volunteering, and broaden the reach of these initiatives to benefit more individuals."
