Sharjah24: Shamsa Al Abdouli, Director of the Community Support Division of the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, reported that the department, in strategic partnership with the University of Sharjah, the Department of Statistics and Community Development, and the Department of Human Resources, organised the first session to present the results of a study related to the "Wazin" programme. This programme aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits and behaviours during working hours for employees of government departments and institutions in Sharjah.
Al Abdouli further explained that the study comprised three stages. The first stage involved distributing questionnaires to Sharjah government employees, with over 2000 responses received. The second stage involved field visits by researchers to government institutions to achieve the programme's objectives of creating a supportive work environment for employees. This was done by collecting performance indicators according to programme standards and taking random samples. Twenty-two institutions were visited, covering 80% of the employees. The third stage of the study consisted of interviews to confirm the information gathered in the first and second stages.

In conclusion, Al Abdouli, expressed gratitude to the strategic partners who contributed to and supported the "Wazin" programme. This programme is considered one of the most important initiatives of the Health Education Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
