Sharjah24: In preparation for hosting the concluding events of the third session, the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), an institution of the Arab League based in Sharjah, convened a meeting at its headquarters. The meeting was held to prepare the organising committees, teams, and human resources, under the chairmanship of Ayman Osman Al-Barout, the secretary general of the Arab Parliament for the Child
During the meeting, all arrangements for receiving children from the Arab world were discussed, scheduled to commence on the fifteenth of July in Sharjah. Several training courses and programmes are planned aimed at equipping children with leadership skills and essential knowledge, in line with the Parliament's commitment to capacitate Arab children.

In the course of the meeting, current preparatory efforts were discussed, along with customary correspondence conducted by the Secretary-General with Arab countries to confirm the attendance of members from various Arab nations.

Furthermore, roles were assigned and arrangements were finalised to ensure the success of the hosting events. Additionally, the fourth session is scheduled to be held at the headquarters of the Consultative Council in Sharjah. There are also plans to organise a ceremony to honour the members at the conclusion of the third session.

In a statement, Al-Barout emphasised the importance of the rehabilitation programme and its role in developing children's capabilities, fostering cooperation, and solidarity among them. He pointed out that these efforts are part of the Parliament's commitment to enhancing the role of children in Arab society, developing their skills and capabilities to enable them to actively participate in shaping their own and the Arab world's future.

Al-Barout explained that all preparations and plans for the parliament align with objectives and vision of the Arab League to address children's present and future needs. Consequently, an appropriate theme will be selected for the next session, and children will be instructed to prepare and discuss it, leading to the formulation of suitable recommendations.

He further clarified that the Arab Children's Parliament is one of the Arab League's entities enjoying generous support and follow-up from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Since its inception in Sharjah in 2019, under His Highness's sponsorship, the Parliament has become a platform for children to express their needs and issues, resulting in recommendations or charters benefiting childhood across all Arab countries. These recommendations are presented to Arab leaders during their regular meetings through the Arab League.
