APC issues the 9th edition of the “Young Parliamentarian”

Sharjah 24: The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the child (APC) issued the ninth edition of the “Young Parliamentarian” magazine, which included a variety of topics and interviews.
The editorial of the magazine, written by the editor-in-chief, Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of APC, shed light on the title of the third meeting “Artificial Intelligence through the Eyes of Arab Children”.

The editorial written by Ayman Othman Al Barout shed light on artificial intelligence and reviewed children’s experiences in dealing with programmes, devices, and the world of technology in general. He expressed his welcome for the countries of Syria and Qatar to join APC bringing the number of countries to 19 member states of the League of Arab States.

In his article, Al Barout pointed out the success of the different activities and events organised by APC in attracting a number of children from the Arab world, whether on the parliament platforms or in the Young Parliamentarian magazine, as well as in enrolling in the Diploma in Parliamentary Science for Children, which was offered in cooperation with the University of Sharjah.

The issue included many diverse topics, as editor Shukran Hussein discussed an important dialogue with the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports; and within the creativity section, an APC member from Egypt conducted a special dialogue with the talented Yassin Ali Salah entitled “visual disability was the reason for my creativity”.

In the context of creativity, the child William Taya devoted his pen to the creativity page writing “I will harness my passion for robotics and programming for the future”. As for the diaries of Salem and Salama, two characters present in each issue, they discussed in their interesting dialogue the responsibility being a parliamentarian.

In the Spotlight page, editor Sojood Rataj Rahahla, a member of APC, discussed her efforts in educational robots; while Member Nabaa Kayed Al Halaibeh spoke on the parliamentary culture page about war, children’s rights, and protecting them in times of conflict.

The issue’s topics were integrated in highlighting the participation of the President of the Arab Parliament for the Child, Jinan Al Sharif, in the event of the Permanent Committee for Human Rights, as well as explaining Lebanon’s distinction in tourism by highlighting members of APC from Lebanon to talk about Lebanon, in addition to addressing many rich and interesting topics on the page. In addition to the “blackboard page”, which was entitled “Compassion for Gaza”.
