Sharjah24: The Sharjah Camel Racing Club organised exciting contests for the two-year-old camel race at Al Dhaid Camel Racecourse, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The event featured 24 laps for weaning camels over a distance of 1500 metres in front of an enthusiastic crowd of camel owners and fans.
"The two-year-old camel race competitions, unique to Al Dhaid Camel Racecourse, are exciting and unique competitions held every Sunday of the week under the patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, to support camel owners from all over the country and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries," stated Matar Ali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club.
These competitions attract a large number of camel owners from all tribes, both within and beyond the UAE."
