Sharjah loses to Mleiha in handball league semi-finals 2nd leg

Sharjah 24: In the second leg of the general league competition's semi-final, the Sharjah men's handball team faced defeat against the Mleiha team with a close score of 19-18. The match, held at the Mleiha Sports and Cultural Club hall, saw Sharjah leading in the first half (10-6) but Mleiha turned the tide in the second half, clinching victory with a score of 13-8.

Following this outcome, Mleiha forces a decisive third match to be played at a neutral venue, yet to be determined. The winner of this match will advance to face Shabab Al Ahli in the tournament final.

Despite Sharjah's victory over Mleiha in the first leg (35-22) at Sharjah Club Stadium, the league's format does not consider goal difference in determining direct confrontations at this stage.

The Strong Hand League marks the fourth competition in the 2023-2024 sports season calendar for the men’s category, with Sharjah men claiming victories in the Federation Cup, Emirates Cup, UAE Super Cup, and the Emirati-Bahraini Super Cup.
