Al Thiqah Club prepares scouts for Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Award

Sharjah 24: Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled runs a scouting programme for its members as part of its efforts to sharpen and enhance the abilities of its Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Award for Youth Empowerment recipients.
The club ran a three-day scouting programme at its headquarters to improve scouting skills, create self-reliance, refine capabilities, and release ranged potential.

Kaltham Obaid, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club, attended the training and appreciated the Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Award's significance. 

She cited that His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as an example of innovative leadership.

She underlined his inspirational contributions to the youth, demonstrating that with effort, nothing is feasible and that ageing is a continuing journey of giving.

The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasised that participation in the Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Award is an excellent opportunity for club members with disabilities to improve their daily skills, talents, and abilities, thereby contributing to the development of creative and productive personalities capable of facing future challenges. 

She noted that the club's three-day programme covers fundamental scouting skills, first aid classes, self-advocacy implementation, and self-defence training.
