Sharjah 24: As part of its community sports activities, the Sharjah Sports Council collaborated with the UAE Triathlon Federation and various contributing and supporting entities to successfully organise the 'Sharjah Triathlon' on Mamzar Corniche yesterday.

The event attracted 320 racers from different age groups.

Swimming 1.5 km, cycling 40 km, and running 10 km were the Olympic categories, while the sprint, super sprint, and junior categories were as follows: swimming 750 m, cycling 20 km, and running 5 km; swimming 375 m, cycling 10 km, and running 2.5 km; and swimming 150 m, cycling 10 km, and running 1.5 km, respectively.

Dr Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department, and Ahmed Al Shamsi, a board member of the UAE Triathlon Federation, were present at the closing event and presented the awards to the winners.
