Sharjah24: The Gulf Women Creativity Award in Arts and Literature was established for 2024 during its sixth session. This initiative of the Cultural Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah aims to honour cultural pioneers among Gulf women who have made exceptional contributions to the cultural arena.
After a series of discussions with the award's work team, including members of the jury, Cultural Advisor Salha Ghabish, head of the Council's Cultural Office, announced the decision to honour female figures. They acknowledged the importance of recognizing the creative, intellectual, and professional contributions of Gulf and Arab women who have made a name for themselves in the international arena with their works.

The winner of the award for this year is Fawziyya Al Sindi, a creative poet from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who will be honored on April 23, 2024, at the Al Jawaher Center for Events and Conferences. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, will be present at the ceremony.

Fawziyya Al Sindi was chosen for her exceptional work in Bahraini and Gulf society. She has authored literary works that have been translated into multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German. She has also contributed to the editorial boards of many magazines, including Kalimat and Bahrain Culture, and has written articles in Arab newspapers, including the Emirati Gulf.

Al Sindi has participated in poetry and literary conferences and festivals within and outside Bahrain. She has also been part of family development programs in Bahrain and founded the Bahrain Center for Positive Energy. In addition, she is a researcher in the economic and family fields.

She has participated in numerous literary festivals and intellectual forums in the Arab world and beyond, including Morocco, Libya, UAE, Oman, Tunisia, Zurich, Beirut, Granada, Qatar, Paris, Italy, and Berlin.

She expressed her pleasure and honor in being chosen as a "cultural figure." She believes this is a tribute and honor to her poetic and literary experience and to all Arab poetic experiences. She also appreciates the importance of cultural and creative awareness, pride in talents, and support for women's creative writing and their cultural and human empowerment. Finally, she expressed her gratitude to those in charge of the Cultural Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah for organizing this tribute to poetic and literary experiences.
