Sharjah24: The Youth Centres in Maliha and Kalba recently organised a series of activities under the banner of the "Emirati House" programme, as part of the broader " Ramadaniat Rubu’ Qarn " campaign initiated by the Sharjah Youth, which falls under the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators. These events coincided with the spring break during Ramadan, aiming to embed Emirati values within the youth aged 13 to 18, reflecting the essence of the Emirati community.
Distinguished figures, including Sultan Ali Saeed Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Maliha, and Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maliha Cultural Sports Club, graced the programme at the Maliha Youth Centre. Similarly, Msabeh Butti Al Qaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council of Maliha, and Walid Nasser Abdullah, Principal of Maliha School, were present, along with several officials and members of Sharjah Youth Centres in the central region.

The programme emphasised the importance of instilling and fostering the deep-rooted Emirati values such as tolerance, cohesion, compassion, generosity, respect, and responsibility among the youth. It aimed to preserve the values and traditions of the UAE, empowering individuals to contribute effectively across various sectors, thereby upholding the UAE's distinguished role.

Through the programme, participants gained insights into positive principles and authentic values ingrained in Emirati society. They were encouraged to spread these values among their peers, fostering positive societal change by adopting, practicing, and applying Emirati values in their daily lives.

Furthermore, participants delved into the intricacies of Emirati hospitality and the majlis tradition, engaging in discussions on hosting guests and the role of majlises in disseminating knowledge and culture. Additionally, they learned about the preparation and presentation of Arabic coffee, enriching their understanding of Emirati customs and traditions.

The programme featured various interactive activities and competitions designed to reinforce a sense of national belonging and identity among the youth.
