This came during the league final competitions, which were held at the Wasit Youth Centre gym, coinciding with National Sports Day, as an emphasis from Sharjah Youth on the importance of sports in providing a healthy, competitive environment that contributes to strengthening national values, cooperation, and teamwork among young people.
The closing witnessed the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Abdul Malik Mohammed Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Futsal; Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Yasi, Director of the Sharjah Youth; Abdul Hamid Al Yasi, Director of the Youth Welfare Department in Sharjah Youth; Shihab Al Awadhi, Head of the Centres Affairs Department at Sharjah Youth, and a number of Sharjah Youth Centres’ directors, members, and parents.
In a distinguished festive atmosphere, the Wasit Youth Centre for the junior category team and the Al Dhaid Youth Centre for the youth category were honoured with the first place shield for the league. The Dhaid Youth Centree for the junior category and the Al Thameed Youth Centre for the youth category teams won runner-up place, and the Khorfakkan Youth Centre and Wasit Youth teams for the junior category, in third place.
Issa Hilal Al-Hazami appreciated the unlimited support and care given by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, to the promising energies of children, adolescents, girls and youth through the centres of institutions affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation. He praised the prominent role of the emerging youth in Sharjah who seek to preserve young people and invest their time in a beneficial way.
