Simultaneously with the forum, the club's online store was launched, providing specialised sports equipment.
The event, attended by dignitaries including the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, along with leaders from the sports and youth sectors, featured discussions led by a member of the Sharjah Youth Council and coincided with the launch of the club's online store specialising in sports equipment.
The forum yielded several significant recommendations, emphasising the importance of instilling a sense of national pride and belonging among athletes as fundamental motivators for achieving excellence and securing medals and accolades. It also highlighted the need to draw upon the expertise of leading international schools in self-defense sports, adapting their methods to elevate technical proficiency and advance the principles of sports sustainability. Furthermore, there was a call to enhance existing training programmes to align with athletes' needs and aspirations, incorporating innovative technologies such as digital solutions and diversifying training methodologies. Additionally, utilising criteria for player evaluation was emphasised to cultivate a winning mentality and encourage continued sports participation despite obstacles.
Participants underscored the UAE's role in elevating the global standing of jiu-jitsu, transforming it into a national sport embraced by all segments of society as a beloved and competitive pursuit reflecting the essence of exceptional athleticism. Moreover, the forum underscored the Sharjah Youth Council's pivotal role in promoting sports engagement within the emirate and driving it towards further achievements. The forum spotlighted the success of Egypt's Al Ahly Club in producing world-class champions and popularising self-defense sports in Egypt and the wider Arab region. Similarly, the UAE Judo Federation's efforts to popularise judo and achieve significant success were acknowledged. The forum also praised the Sports Safety Programme of the World and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federations for its role in promoting sportsmanship, encouraging athletes to persevere in their sporting endeavours, and ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes through comprehensive preventative measures and educational initiatives.
