Sharjah 24: Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, explained that the Centre highlighted examples of manuscripts in the field of the Arabic language, during its Ramadan Majlis, on Tuesday, at the Centre’s headquarters.
He stated that the Ramadan Majlis discussed the manuscripts that deal with the various branches of the Arabic language, including grammar, rhetoric, morphology, and prosody, which are located in the Sharjah House of Manuscripts, in the presence of Saeed Al-Maadawi, the general supervisor of the house.
Al Hammadi told “Sharjah 24” that the manuscripts preserved for generations a lot of science in various fields, explaining that the importance of these manuscripts is not only in the information they contain, but because they include the names of scholars and authors throughout history, and it is our duty to pass them on, generation after generation.
He pointed out that manuscripts contributed greatly to the renaissance of literature and knowledge, and in fact played a great role in the progress of nations, which is why we focused during the Ramadan Majlis on displaying examples of these manuscripts.
