Sharjah24: The Arabic Language Educational Center for Gulf States in Sharjah (ALECGS), one of the entities under the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, is actively participating in the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair 2023. This event, organised by the Egyptian General Authority for Books, is hosted at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
The centre's involvement aligns with the strategic directives of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, aiming to disseminate the bureau's scientific contributions across diverse educational fields. This involves showcasing scientific publications to relevant institutions and exhibition attendees, coupled with marketing these productions. The overarching goal is to solidify the presence of the Arab Bureau of Education and its entities in significant scientific and cultural platforms.
ALECGS is dedicated to consistent and ongoing participation in such events. This commitment aims to foster interactions and communication between creators of cultural, intellectual, scientific, and educational content and their audience, encompassing readers with varied inclinations and from different generations.
This participation serves as a platform for the unhindered exchange of books in the Middle East, facilitating an understanding of the latest developments in thought and printed works. It also facilitates agreements for publishing and distribution, overcoming challenges related to book marketing through partnerships that contribute to the exchange of experiences and enrich the Arab library with specialised studies and research.
ALECGS is committed to continuous participation in such events, ensuring ongoing opportunities for interaction and communication between creators of cultural, intellectual, scientific, and creative content and their diverse audience of readers across different inclinations and generations.
The centre's participation encompasses the presentation of a selection of new releases in the field of the Arabic language, crucial for the teaching and learning of Arabic. Examples include a study on the enhancement of electronic reading skills for secondary school students, a framework guiding the integration of technology in teaching and learning Arabic. Furthermore, it includes the publications from the Seventh International Arabic Language Conference held in January 2024 in Sharjah, spanning five volumes.
