Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) distributed Zakat and Ramadan aid to 2708 orphans belonging to 1156 families in the city of Sharjah and its surrounding areas in the central and eastern regions. This was part of the "Zakki" Ramadan campaign launched by the foundation during the blessed month of Ramadan, which was filled with various humanitarian achievements to serve the orphaned families.
Mona bint Huda Al Suwaidi, the General Manager of the foundation, stated, "The foundation is committed to allocating Zakat and Ramadan aid to deserving families with limited income, enabling them to meet their Ramadan needs. The amounts were directly deposited into their bank accounts, and some families were given checks according to their living standards and the number of family members ."

She added, "The 'Zakki' campaign is one of the most significant seasonal campaigns that includes a series of supporting projects that serve orphaned families, aiming to alleviate their burdens and ensure a dignified and stable life for them. In addition to the Zakat and Ramadan aid projects, the campaign includes several other projects, such as the 'Atiyya Ramadan' project, which allows community members to provide Ramadan gifts to families. The 'Fattruhum' project this year enables productive orphaned families specialized in preparing meals to participate in preparing iftar meals for other orphaned families, creating a circle of giving among them and to them. The aim is to empower these families in various aspects and provide an opportunity for the public to contribute their donations in this blessed month to both productive families and the iftar of orphans simultaneously."

The "Zakki" Ramadan campaign continues throughout the holy month to provide economic support to orphaned families who have lost their fathers, alleviating the financial burden on their guardians and easing the difficulties they face in their lives.
