Sharjah24: Khawla Al-Hawai, Director of Sharjah Children, emphasised the significant care and attention Emirati children receive from the UAE government, ensuring they enjoy their fundamental rights and access to all necessary resources across various sectors.
She highlighted the theme for this year's Emirati Children's Day, "The Right to Protection," which underscores the UAE's commitment to providing comprehensive protection and support for children. This commitment involves collaborative efforts from all societal institutions to create a secure environment conducive to children's growth and development, recognising it as a national priority.
Al-Hawai further elaborated on the special focus and support children receive in Sharjah, attributing it to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators. She emphasised the importance of children as essential pillars in societal development. This focus is facilitated through various institutions, notably the Rubu Qarn Foundation which is dedicated to nurturing and empowering children. This approach ensures that children's basic rights are met through specialised institutions like 'Sharjah Children,' which offers tailored programmes and innovative initiatives to meet their needs and aspirations across the emirate. The overarching goal is to cultivate their skills and creativity within a secure and supportive environment, empowering them to play significant roles in serving their country and community
