Sharjah24: "Payroll Accountant Preparation," a training programme launched by the Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR), is the first in several initiatives with the goal of improving the effectiveness of workers in the Sharjah government's many agencies and departments. Individuals will learn to accurately prepare and audit payroll and monthly input, and they will have the abilities to extract reliable financial reports that decision-makers may utilise to make better use of financial data.

The workshop conducted at the Sharjah Academy for Education headquarters underscored the latest updates on executive regulations of human resources in Sharjah, along with the factors impacting government salaries and how they are calculated. The workshop helps in spreading the electronic salary system to all departments, authorities, and institutions of the Sharjah government.

Six main topics were discussed, including: calculating appointments according to regulations, types of incentives, benefits, and promotions, methods for calculating the basic salary for all systems, types of deductions (penalties and their calculation), leave and return notifications, and calculating insurance for Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The programme consists of three stages and will run until May 2024. The goal is to improve the execution of the regulations for human resources in Sharjah related to salary variables, standardise the calculation method for government employees' salaries, and prepare new accountants to use the electronic system for salary tasks.
