Sharjah 24: His Excellency Hamad Abdulwahab Al Qawadi, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council, confirmed that the Sharq Ramadan Championship, in its 16th edition, enjoys remarkable support from government and private institutions, and a large public presence from the people of Khorfakkan.
In the presence of His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and a crowd of officials, notables and people of the city of Khorfakkan, the Sharq Ramadan Championship competitions kicked off on Tuesday at Sharq Stadium in Khorfakkan.
His Excellency Hamad Abdulwahab Al Qawadi said that the 16th edition of includes the participation of 12 teams from various emirates of the country.
His Excellency added in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the event serves as a forum for families to invest their free time during the holy month of Ramadan in practicing a sport that is popular among all age groups, amid an atmosphere of fair competition between the participating teams.
His Excellency confirmed that the final rounds witnesses several activities accompanying children with the aim of bringing joy and happiness to their souls, praising the support of a number of government entities for the event, including the Sharjah Sports Council, the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, in addition to many private sector institutions.
