Sharjah 24: Ittihad Kalba is set to take on Sharjah in the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup after securing a commanding 5-1 victory over Khorfakkan. This win earned them a place in the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, where they will face the reigning champions, Sharjah.
Ittihad Kalba sealed their quarter-final berth in the "Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup" with a resounding 5-1 win against Khorfakkan in a match held on Friday evening at Kalba Stadium. This triumph came in the second leg, following a 1-1 draw in the initial encounter at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium in Khorfakkan.

It is the first time Kalba has managed to score five goals in a single match in the "League Cup."

Next up, Ittihad Kalba will lock horns with Sharjah, who clinched the championship in the previous edition and have secured a direct spot in the quarter-finals.

The Brazilian player Leandro Spadacio initiated the scoring for the home team in the 24th minute and added a second goal with a well-placed header in the 38th minute. Ittihad Kalba further extended their lead by converting a penalty, which was awarded following a foul on the Slovenian striker Andres Vombergar. The Italian Daniel Bessa calmly slotted home the penalty in the 45th+10 minute.

Khorfakkan managed to reduce the deficit with a penalty early in the second half, in the 49th minute.

Ittihad Kalba responded swiftly to the opposition's goal, with Daniel Bessa increasing their advantage by netting his second goal of the match and the third for his team in the 54th minute. Shortly after, the Brazilian forward Leandro Spadacio completed a memorable hat-trick with a second header in the 59th minute, marking the fifth goal for his team.
