Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Livestock Markets (SLM), which include the Sharjah, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid markets, announced that they have completed preparations to receive their visitors during the holy month of Ramadan, within an integrated and thoughtful plan, and in accordance with the highest standards and services that meet the needs and requirements of the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah in various regions, and fulfill their needs quickly and easily during the holy month.
In line with the holy month, working hours were changed according to the operational requirements of the market during the month of Ramadan, to suit the market’s visitors, both traders and individuals, and to facilitate the workflow process according to smooth and quick procedures, while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and public safety.

Sharjah Livestock Market

Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of the Jubail and Livestock Market in Sharjah, said: “All procedures and preparations have been completed in the Sharjah Livestock Market to receive visitors to the market during the holy month, in order to ensure that service is provided to them with the highest levels of quality, as the operational plan for the market included mechanisms that will reduce crowding and speed up procedures of slaughtering and delivering livestock in a way that meets the desires of visitors and achieves our vision of serving the residents and visitors of the Emirate of Sharjah.”

Al Shamsi added, the management of the livestock market was keen to prepare all facilities and provide all the services needed by market visitors during the blessed month of Ramadan, and to make all efforts aimed at making customers happy and providing high-quality services at the required speed that are compatible with their aspirations and needs during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Livestock market in Dhaid
Talal Mohammed, Director of the Central Region Markets Department in Al Dhaid, said: The livestock market in Al Dhaid is fully prepared and ready to receive the people and visitors of the region during the holy month of Ramadan, and to provide them with the livestock they need in accordance with the best adopted international standards using the latest technologies and devices, taking into account safe and hygienic  conditions that achieve work efficiency and speed to accommodate large numbers and meet the needs of the people in the region and its visitors. 

Livestock markets in Kalba and Khorfakkan
Hilal Al Naqbi, Director of Livestock Markets in Kalba and Khorfakkan, said: “The livestock markets and slaughterhouses in Kalba and Khorfakkan are fully prepared to receive their visitors during the holy month within an operational plan that meets the needs and requirements of the residents and visitors of the emirate from various regions, using the highest international quality standards followed in cleanliness and public health.

Sharjah Livestock Market working hours during Ramadan
The Sharjah Livestock Market opens its doors to its visitors during the blessed month daily from 7:00 am until 12:00 midnight, while the livestock slaughterhouse operates daily from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm, while the poultry slaughterhouse is open daily from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The market closes its facilities at the iftar period according to the time of the Maghrib call to prayer, and at Friday prayer period.

Al Dhaid Market working hours during Ramadan

 The Livestock Market in Al Dhaid receives visitors during the holy month of Ramadan, from Saturday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, while it receives visitors on Friday from 6:00 am to 11:30 a.m., knowing that the livestock market will close its doors during all evening periods during the holy month of Ramadan.

Kalba Livestock Market working hours in Ramadan
The livestock market in Kalba opens its doors to visitors during the days of the holy month, daily from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm, except Friday, from 9:00 am until 11:30 pm, and closes at the time of Friday prayers, and opens its doors again in the evening period from 1:30 am to 11:00 pm. As for the Kalba slaughterhouse, it operates from Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Friday in the morning period from 9:00 to 11:30. The evening timing is from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm.

Khorfakkan Livestock Market working hours in Ramadan
The livestock market in Khorfakkan opens its doors to visitors during the days of the holy month, from Saturday to Thursday-  from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, and from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, except on Friday when the market opens its doors from 9:00 am until 11:30 pm and closes at the time of Friday prayers, and opens its doors again in the evening from 2:00 am until 5:30 pm. As for the Khorfakkan slaughterhouse, it operates from Saturday until Sunday from 9:00 am until 5:30 PM, and on Friday in the morning period from 9:00 until 11:30, and the evening period from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM.

It is worth noting that the Sharjah livestock markets in the city of Sharjah, Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan and Kalba are all projects that fall under the umbrella of the Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Emirate of Sharjah.
