Sharjah24: Aspiring students eager to explore the exciting world of startups had the opportunity to attend the second edition of the Startup Career Fair (SCF), co-organised by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) and the American University of Sharjah (AUS), which took place yesterday March 7th, 2024, at the Shera Hub within the AUS campus.
This collaborative effort aimed to bring the students closer to the startup ecosystem, providing a unique platform for 25 startups to showcase open positions, including full-time, part-time and internship opportunities for AUS students and alumni.
These startups presented over 150 positions across diverse fields allowing students and alumni to explore careers and future work opportunities within the startups field. These positions include engineering, data management, sales and business development, product strategy, product development, content creation, marketing, finance, and many others.

Nurturing a spirit of innovation
Beyond providing job opportunities, the event actively caters to the next generation of entrepreneurs by facilitating connections and nurturing a spirit of innovation. Students were introduced to the participating companies and able to engage with founders and representatives directly, learning one-on-one about various topics such as startup culture, career growth, and the intricacies of working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Covering sectors including EdTech, FinTech, Sustainability, and various aspects of the Creative Economy, attendees were able to gain valuable insights from founders of prominent startups such as AR Engineering, Remal IoT, Skyvertise, The Waste Lab, Ludus Films, YSpot, Builder.ai, Musafir.com, Jalebi.io, AHB.AI and many more from the Sheraa and the wider ecosystem..
