Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) effectively wrapped up its participation in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), a joint effort with Sheraa.
The event took place on February 3 and 4 at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, with 200 speakers and 500 attendees.
Huda Al Yassi, Head of Financial System Management at SFD, emphasised the department's confidence in entrepreneurship as a foundation for long-term economic success. She emphasised its critical role in attaining holistic growth through innovation and creative ideas, which enable adaptability to technological improvements.
Al Yassi highlighted the power of entrepreneurship to bring about meaningful economic transformation that is linked to public interests and ambitions.
The SFD has made significant progress in improving its services to better accommodate and empower small and medium-sized youth initiatives.
In Sharjah, Al Yassi underlined their commitment to supporting the local economy and helping the country achieve its economic goals.
The department is dedicated to supporting Sheraa's programmes targeted at enabling young people to develop companies and developing Sharjah's entrepreneurial environment.
Rashid Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Head of Purchasing and Contracts at the SFD, emphasised the department's commitment to implementing services that promote entrepreneurship and youth project success.
The department aims to encourage present and future changemakers by providing efficient financial instruments for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses locally and worldwide.
Al Suwaidi underlined the department's long-standing efforts to promote these initiatives through law and procurement regulations.
The SFD offers tools and studies that help both successful and prospective entrepreneurs by providing insights into advanced technologies, investment patterns, capital insights, and present and future entrepreneurship directions.
The department prioritises empowering enterprises and intends to highlight their projects on the approved supplier site.
Furthermore, it investigates using the government finance system's accessible platforms, "Takamul," to publish announcements for national initiatives that benefit Sharjah and government organisations.
The department is also contemplating developing a digital card in partnership with Sharjah Islamic Bank for national project owners and Ruwad suppliers to help them trace their government transactions in Sharjah.
