Sharjah 24: In 2023, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) checked out and evaluated 671 tanks in residential and commercial sectors, as well as 445 samples from mosque ablution facilities, to guarantee specification compliance and user health and safety.
Engineer Abdulrahman Bukhalaf, Deputy Director of SEWA's Water and Desalination Plants Department, highlighted the necessity of following numerous rules in order to preserve tank water quality. He said that the authority's technical teams perform regular inspection trips to check the cleanliness and safety of water tanks and pipelines in buildings.

He went on to say that in 2023, the focus would be on mosques, as well as residential and commercial structures, and that if water tanks in buildings are not properly maintained, they can have an impact on water quality.

He emphasised the importance of frequent tank maintenance and monitoring to guarantee cleanliness and tight closure.
