Sharjah24: A press conference was held at the Mleiha Sports Club stadium where several sporting and cultural events that the club plans to organise during Ramadan were revealed. The Mleiha Ramadan Forum will host these activities for its second year, which aim to enhance social cohesion among members of society.

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Mleiha Sports Club, Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, and the forum’s coordinator, Mansour Balajid Al Ketbi, along with board members, media professionals, players, and club staff.

A variety of sports and cultural activities will be organised throughout Ramadan for the people of Mleiha and the institutions of the central region of Sharjah. The forum will honour the winners and select the sports figure, after its activities.

In his speech during the conference, Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni emphasised the importance of these events in strengthening community ties and deepening relations between individuals in the region. The club’s management intends to continue its influential role in offering Ramadan activities that contribute to enhancing communication and positive interaction among members of society, by organising various events and programs that meet the needs and aspirations of the people of the Mleiha region during Ramadan.

The total number of events at the forum enhances the role of the Mleiha Club as a live platform that contributes to achieving those desired goals and objectives under the umbrella of the Sharjah Sports Council, by organising a variety of events and programs that meet the needs and aspirations of the people of the Mleiha region in the holy month of Ramadan.

Al Khasouni praised the importance of the sporting and cultural events during Ramadan, stressing that they reflect the spirit of communication and social cohesion among members of society. He stressed that the club is committed to providing a distinctive experience for participants, by organising various events and programs that meet the needs and aspirations of the people of the Mleiha region in Ramadan.

The forum coordinator, Mansour Balajid Al-Ketbi, stressed the importance of these events in strengthening the club's belonging and identity as an essential sports and social centre, noting that they contribute to enhancing sportsmanship and solidarity among individuals.

The events include football, volleyball, and swimming tournaments, laser shooting tournaments, and cultural and religious activities such as Holy Quran and chanting competitions for boys and girls. Women’s activities dedicated to them during the nights of Ramadan, including sports and cultural programs, are also planned. The forum will culminate in a ceremony to honor the winners and select the sports figure.

After the press conference, the club management thanked its partners in the success, including the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Mleiha Municipality, the Sharjah Police General Command, the Islamic Affairs Department, the Holy Quran Academy and the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah. They stressed the importance of enhancing communication and cohesion in the community. The club is ready to provide a unique and fruitful experience for participants in the activities of the Mleiha Ramadan Forum.
