Sharjah24: In line with its vital role in providing a healthy and safe environment, Sharjah Youth, will launch an interactive and exceptional campaign as part of its social responsibility in the Emirate of Sharjah. The campaign, titled "From Youth to Sharjah," will take place from February 28 to March 10, 2024, contributing to environmental sustainability.
The campaign reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi,  Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators (Rubu' Qarn), on the importance of protecting the environment, preserving its biodiversity, and optimizing its resources. The campaign also emphasizes the leading role of the Rubu' Qarn in preparing national cadres capable of leading the future and participating in its creation. Additionally, it aims to empower them to tackle environmental challenges and enhance environmental awareness among children, youth, and girls associated with the foundation's institutions, in order to educate the community about the importance of preserving and sustaining environmental resources for future generations.

The campaign targets all youth aged 13 to 18, parents, and all members of the local community in the Emirate of Sharjah across different age groups. Its objective is to enhance cooperation, develop teamwork skills, deepen concepts of sustainability, social responsibility, and citizenship among them, as they represent the future of sustainable environmental work.

Moreover, the campaign is characterized by inclusivity in supporting the environment. It includes various stages that highlight the vital importance of preserving and not harming the environment. The campaign includes tree planting activities that will be carried out in various cities and areas of the Emirate of Sharjah in collaboration with Sharjah Municipality, Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, and Khorfakkan Municipality. Additionally, seedlings will be distributed for planting seasonal crops suitable for the soil nature in the dry and coastal regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
