Sharjah24: In partnership with the University of Sharjah's Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development, the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) celebrated the graduation of the seventh batch completing the Professional Diploma in Child Protection. The recipients were employees of the department stationed at the Child and Family Protection Center. The ceremony unfolded at the University of Sharjah.
At the event, 15 graduates from the seventh batch of the Professional Diploma in Child Protection received certificates, totaling 550 training hours. The programme, a collaborative effort between the Continuing Education Center and SSSD, aimed to furnish participants with knowledge and skills concerning health, legal, legislative, and educational facets of child protection.

Samia Al-Housani, Director of the Human Resources Department at SSSD, expressed that programme participants underwent instructional and training hours supervised by proficient and seasoned professors from the University of Sharjah and beyond.

Al-Housani disclosed that the current graduating class comprised approximately 15 individuals, while the cumulative number of graduates since the programme's inception in 2018 reached around 92. This initiative underscores SSSD’s dedication to partnering with strategic allies to deliver social services and contribute to improving the quality of life, particularly for children and those lacking social care. The department endeavours to utilise all available resources for a brighter future and sustainable services.

She conveyed her thanks and appreciation to the Continuing Education Center at the University of Sharjah for its unwavering efforts in enhancing and cultivating the skills of employees within SSSD.
