Alia Al Zaabi, the Director of the Department of Social Assistance at SSSD, emphasized that the department strives to bring joy to those who are affiliated with it. The department's aim is not only to provide monthly aid but also to participate in and maintain an emotional connection with its beneficiaries. This traditional custom has been followed for many years and on all occasions, particularly religious and national ones.
The Social Aid Administration has planned two activities to mark the approaching 15th of Sha`ban, or "Haq al-Laila," which will target two categories of beneficiaries on the 21st and 22nd of February.
As part of the first event, 96 needy families who benefit from social security in the department will receive sweet baskets. A group of female administration employees will distribute the baskets to homes, accompanied by two cartoon characters named "Salem and Salama."
On the second day, ten elderly women who benefit from social security in the department will be taken on a heritage trip to the Al Shinasiyah market in the emirate. They will also have breakfast at the Arabian Sea House restaurant, free of charge, to participate in making them happy. The department will distribute gifts and organize popular heritage competitions.
