One of the significant conditions is that the number of founding members of the team should not be less than 5 individuals as a minimum, and all team members should have individual volunteer permits. Additionally, team members should hold a professional practice license for specialized teams.
Building on that , Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Sharjah Center for Volunteer Work, welcomed the decision to regulate volunteer work in Sharjah and for the Department of Social Services, represented by the Sharjah Center for Volunteer Work, to assume these tasks, which will reorganize volunteer work based on the adopted conditions and fundamentals.
The registration process involves several steps, starting with submitting the application and attaching the required documents, which will be later posted on the website of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah.
Al Hammadi added that the center's tasks include monitoring the volunteer work provided by governmental, non-governmental, federal, and charitable institutions and organizations in Sharjah. These institutions will submit annual reports to the center regarding their activities and events, which will be registered on the center's electronic platform.
The Sharjah Center for Volunteer Work will also evaluate the performance of volunteer teams annually according to the criteria for classifying volunteer teams.
