Sharjah Ladies secure 10 medals in UAE Chess Champ.

Sharjah24: The chess champions of the Sharjah Ladies Chess & Cultural Club had an impressive performance in both the UAE Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships, signalling the start of the local activity for the 2024 season. The players of the club achieved an impressive collection of 10 colourful medals, consisting of two gold, four silver, and four bronze.
Aisha Mohammed Al Muaini secured the bronze medal and third place in the UAE Rapid Chess Championship, which was held by the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mental Games Club. She achieved an impressive score of 6.5 points. In the under-18 female category, Aisha proudly took home the silver medal. Anoud Issa, her teammate, also achieved third place and received a bronze medal, while her sister, Ahoud Issa, tied for fourth.

Meanwhile, at the UAE Blitz Chess Championship organised by the Al Ain Chess and Mental Games Club, the players from the club had an impressive run of success. Anoud Issa achieved an impressive second place in the women's category, with her teammate Hanan Khalil securing a well-deserved third place.

Fatima Saeed emerged victorious, claiming first place and the prestigious gold medal in the under-18 female category. Her teammate, Maryam Mohammed Al Muaini, also showcased her talent and secured the well-deserved bronze. Anoud Issa emerged victorious in the under-14 female category, clinching the gold medal and claiming first place. Her sister, Ahoud Issa, also showcased her talent and secured second place, earning the silver medal. Sheikha Mohammed Al Muaini secured the silver medal in the under-10 female category, claiming second place.

Najla Al Shamsi, the President of the Club's Board of Directors, expressed her happiness with the achievements of the club's players in both the UAE Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships, highlighting their promising start to the 2024 season. She congratulates the players and the club's management for their progress in training and preparing them for international competitions.
