Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police General Command, through its Investigations and Criminal Investigations Department and the Eastern Region Police Department, successfully thwarted a robbery and smuggling operation conducted by a gang. The gang had stolen jewelry valued at 800,000 dirhams with the intention of smuggling it out of the country through one of the exits.
In more detail, a report was received by the operations room from a Jewelry store in Khorfakkan city, indicating that the store had been robbed by a criminal group in the late hours of the night. Immediately, the investigative and criminal investigation teams rushed to the reported location. A security team was formed to investigate and gather information about the perpetrators. Following continuous search and investigation operations, the security team, in the early hours after the report, successfully identified the identities of the criminal group.

Through intensified police efforts, the stolen gold was discovered in one of the shipping containers at one of the country's exits, in preparation for being transported abroad. Currently, the police are actively working on apprehending the members of the gang, and the case has been forwarded to the public prosecution for legal proceedings.

Sharjah Police urges everyone, including individuals and business owners, to prioritise the security of their establishments with the use of surveillance systems, collaborate closely with security agencies, and promptly report anyone attempting to violate the rights of others or pose a threat to the stability of society through the emergency number 999.
