Sharjah24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has inaugurated the second phase of the 'Itqan' initiative (Arabic for perfection), which seeks to improve the quality of private education.
The event, which was attended by educational adviser Abdullah Al Marzouqi and Aisha Al Owais, director of the Itqan programme, featured an informative session for private school directors.
Al Marzouqi emphasised the importance of pre-execution meetings for the project and their role in attaining the authority's objectives.
Al Owais emphasised the programme's importance in boosting private education by giving schools the option to improve performance and achieve long-term academic success.
The second phase consists of weekly visits to 64 private schools employing advanced evaluation tools.
The programme evaluates school performance across six areas, delivering scores on a six-level scale.
