Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has achieved a new institutional milestone by obtaining three international accreditations: ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 22301 for Business Continuity Management Systems, and ISO 21001 for Educational Organisations Management Systems.

The achievement reflects the Authority’s strong commitment to implementing global best practices and international standards in institutional management and the development of educational services.

It also highlights SPEA’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of quality, governance and institutional excellence, while strengthening operational readiness and service sustainability in line with Sharjah’s vision to advance the private education sector and enhance its outcomes.

As part of its journey towards securing these international accreditations, the Authority recorded a number of key achievements, including the development of 27 procedural manuals, the approval of more than 243 institutional forms, and the activation of 140 operational performance indicators to monitor performance and measure results, helping improve efficiency and institutional performance.

The Authority also conducted a comprehensive business impact analysis covering 14 departments and 38 sections, achieving 100 per cent compliance in both organisational context and planning, reflecting a high level of institutional maturity and the effectiveness of its management systems.

To further strengthen its institutional capabilities, SPEA qualified 10 certified internal auditors and delivered training programmes that benefited 99 employees. These efforts helped embed a culture of governance, quality and business continuity, while enhancing operational risk management and institutional preparedness.

The Authority stated that obtaining these international accreditations marks an important milestone in its continuous development journey and reflects its commitment to adopting the highest global standards in educational institution management. This, in turn, enhances the quality of services provided to stakeholders and partners and strengthens the competitiveness of Sharjah’s private education sector.
