Sharjah 24: The "Shajar" (Trees) initiative in Al Jada is a family-oriented destination for trees, according to Aliya Al Falasi, Director of Community Initiatives at ARADA. The grand opening of the project took place in November of last year (2023).
His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, visited the project, which is attracting thousands of visitors interested in trees and the environment, including many dignitaries. The project also attracts students from schools and universities in Sharjah.

Al Falasi informed "Sharjah 24" that ARADA's projects will benefit from the planting of 130,000 trees of 50 different species as part of the "Shajar" initiative. Among the country's biggest nurseries, she said, "Shajar" occupies 1.6 million square feet.

"Masaar" will be one of the region's most tree-dense residential developments when the corporation plants more than 50,000 trees there.
Modern irrigation systems that use recycled water to water green areas inside the projects help reduce the amount of water that has to be used.
