Sharjah 24: Recognising the achievements of individuals in the inaugural cycle of the Distinguished Employee Award for the academic year 2023-2024, Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University commended excellence across diverse categories—Administrative and Technical Roles, Team Excellence, and Supportive Positions.
The accolades were presented during the university's annual gathering, attended by Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, college deans, centre directors, department heads, and supervisors.
The "Outstanding Team" honour went to the Student Affairs Deanship team, led by Ahlam Bin Jarsh, Assistant Director of Public Affairs. In the "Outstanding Administrative/Technical Employee" category, recognition was bestowed upon Abduljabar Ahmed Oweis, overseeing Fine Arts at the university studio.
The "Supportive Positions" accolade was equally shared by Mohammed Kamdad from the Public Relations Department and Murtada Ali Shouta from the Services and Maintenance Department.
In his address during the award launch and recognition ceremony, Dr. Awad Al Khalaf underscored the institution's dedication to realising the vision set by its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He emphasised the university's commitment to being an exemplary academic institution, providing continuous support to all staff and encouraging a culture of excellence and creativity.
Al Khalaf clarified that the award's purpose is to inspire all employees and teams to strive for excellence in their respective roles. He expressed appreciation to President Jamal Al Tarifi for his support, presence, and involvement in the event.
Al Khalaf also extended gratitude to the award committee and judging panels for their contributions, urging all staff members to persist in their pursuit of excellence and actively contribute to fulfilling Al Qasimia University's mission.
