SEC continues the “Development of Government Services” project

Sharjah 24: The General Secretariat of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) organised a new interactive laboratory as part of the “Development of Government Services” project in Sharjah.
Over the past three weeks, the laboratory has been concerned with redesigning and developing one of the most important services that saw joint work between a number of government departments, bodies and agencies. The laboratory has developed a future model for the customer’s journey in the “Certificate of Completion” service for construction operations in a very fast and effective manner.

The entities participating in the laboratory and in charge of the “Certificate of Completion” service have come up with a number of plans for future initiatives based on international quality standards and high efficiency, and achieving customer happiness by developing innovative solutions that facilitate and speed up procedures’ implementation, by adopting the unified application platform.

The laboratory included constructive discussions between managers, specialists and experts from different departments in the agencies and bodies related to the certificate issuance procedures, which are: Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA), Department of Planning and Survey, Department of Housing, Department of Municipal Affairs, Sharjah Digital Office, Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and “Etisalat” group.  

Discussions were based on scientific and field studies, which made it possible to identify the most prominent difficulties and challenges of immediate service, which contributed to building future visions for serving customers with innovative methods, with less effort.

The closing day of the “Certificate of Completion” service laboratory was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, His Excellency Engineer Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Head of the Housing Department, His Excellency Engineer Yousef Al Othmani, Chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, His Excellency Dr. Suleiman bin Abdullah bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Department of Municipal Affairs, Her Excellency Asma Rashid bin Taliah, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Taniji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Director General of SEWGA, Colonel Ibrahim Saeed Al Ali, Director of the Civil Protection and Safety Department at the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Mr. Hassan Ali Al Owais, Executive Director of Government Relations, senior figures in the Etisalat Group, and a number of officials.

The General Secretariat of the Executive Council continues to establish a series of government laboratories in order to design a better customer journey and achieve the objectives of the “Government Services Development” project, within precise steps and a specific and short period of time.
