Sharjah24: As part of its mission to improve healthcare for individuals in underserved regions, Sharjah Charity International (SIC) has dispatched a container filled with medical items to Mauritania to aid senior care and disability centres.
Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ali, Director of SCI Projects and External Aid Department, placed a package of medical aid in the container. The package comprised 44 medical beds, 16 wheelchairs for seniors and individuals with disabilities, and artificial respirators.
In addition, mosques in several remote communities received 1,000 Quran copies and nine tonnes of dates in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.
Throughout Nouakchott, the capital, one thousand families reaped the benefits of this assistance. He mentioned that the association aims to reach approximately 2500 beneficiaries through this support.
