Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, appreciated the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in improving the city of Khorfakkan at all levels, and in other cities of the emirate.
In remarks to Sharjah 24, he said that Khorfakkan is seeing a significant rise in the tourist, economic, environmental, and cultural sectors. He praised Khorfakkan people’s adherence to “Sanaa” customs and traditions despite the remarkable prosperity and development it is witnessing.
This came on the sidelines of a lecture he delivered in Souq Sharq in the city of Khorfakkan, entitled “The Spirit of the Nation,” which was organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in cooperation with the Hayyakom Foundation, in the presence of a number of officials and a crowd of city residents.
Al Nuaimi, known as the “Green Sheikh,” stressed that the spirit of the nation includes positive human and patriotic values, and is an integrated value system that represents a societal responsibility that every individual and institution in the country must work to strengthen.
