Tunisia celebrates Kairouan Festival of Arab Poetry 8

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Tunisian Capital, the Eighth Kairouan Festival of Arabic Poetry, organised by Sharjah Department of Culture in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs, kicked off on December 22, at the House of Wisdom in Carthage, in the presence of a large number of Tunisian and Arab poets.

The opening segments were moderated by the Tunisian poet Abdelmadjid Farhat.

Al Owais expressed his gratitude to the Tunisian Ministry of Culture and the cultural institutions for their cooperation in running the event.

Khaled Kasheer appreciated Sharjah’s cultural role at the Arab and Tunisian levels in particular.
