Sharjah 24: Within the activities of the twenty-fifth Islamic Arts Festival, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Director of the Festival, inaugurated the “Night of Power” exhibition by Saudi artist Raghad Al Ahmad, at "1971 - Design Space" in the Flag Island, in the presence of Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Marwa Al Aqroubi, Director of the House of Wisdom, and a large number of artists, media figures, and arts lovers.
Al Qaseer and the audience toured the exhibition, which aims to express the artist’s personal journey, through the manifestation of sadness and the exploration of the inner soul.

The artwork offered an invitation to visitors to seek healing through their personal contemplation experience through prayer, whereas the artist highlights the sacred features within daily life in order to elevate the human experience by relying on the heritage of Islamic architectural design as a way of life.

Through this artistic work, Al Ahmad wants to convey the spiritual relationship of love to the audience, while combining spiritual and contemporary artistic media, presenting a thoughtful presentation that focuses on a strong traditional foundation without abandoning its relationship with the modern world.

Raghad Al Ahmad is an experimental multimedia Saudi artist who graduated with a BA in Interior and Furniture Design from King Abdulaziz University in 2016. 

Al Ahmad uses a variety of media such as collage, installation, sculpture and digital films as a means of expression. The artist draws inspiration from her diverse cultural background given her Bedouin roots in the western Hejaz sector of Saudi Arabia also draws from Islamic faith and tradition, creating prolific works of art using familiar elements of Islamic architecture and a myriad of urban geometric design styles in a blend of ancient life, urban life and technology.
