Sharjah 24: The atmosphere of joy and excitement continues in Al Majaz Amphitheatre, where the third edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, is witnessing a large turnout from various segments of society.
Visitors enjoy the artistic performances and educational workshops, interact with cartoon characters and partake in exciting competitions that the festival offers, with broad participation from governmental and private institutions and entities.
The platforms of the participating entities attracted attendees to learn about their programmes and community messages through a number of entertainment, awareness-raising and educational presentations and workshops.
The Sharjah Municipality has allocated activities for young people through which they learn about the importance of preserving the general appearance of the city. The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority’s platform emphasises the Emirate’s vision of adopting green practices and following a sustainability approach.
The participation of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in the festival strengthened the values of Emirati authenticity among young people and consolidated customs and traditions inherited from parents and grandparents.
The Sharjah Archaeology Authority transported visitors to ancient times by highlighting archaeological sites in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Sharjah Museums Authority's participation comes through the “Discover Sharjah Museums” initiative.
As part of the efforts to build human culture, the Sharjah Social Services Department, the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority, the Civil Defence, and the Pink Caravan specialised in combating breast cancer launched awareness campaigns, each in their field, and addressed the public, old and young, to increase social awareness of a number of issues and maintain their health and safety.
The festival will receive visitors until Sunday, December 17, from four in the afternoon until ten in the evening. The festival's activities, which are held under the theme "See Sharjah," reflected the various developmental dimensions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
