Sharjah24: The third edition of Sharjah Events Festival, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, (December 14). Being held once again under the slogan, ‘See Sharjah’, the 4-day Sharjah Events Festival offers a rich bouquet of thrilling, entertaining, and educationally informative activities and contests and will run until Sunday, December 17 at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah.
The annual Sharjah Events Festival will be open to the public daily from 4pm to 10pm. In addition to various engaging and entertaining activities targeting both young and old, the Festival will also feature valuable humanitarian participation from the Sharjah Charitable Society, which will continue its aid campaign for the people of Gaza in Palestine. Some 100 boxes will be strategically placed throughout the Festival venue to collect donations from visitors for the besieged people of Gaza.
The Sharjah Charitable Society is one of the more than 30 government, semi-government and private sector institutions and organisations that are taking part in the Sharjah Events Festival to welcome young people, adolescents and all members of families with a variety of thrilling activities, engaging performances and insightful workshops.
The Festival venue, Al Majaz Amphitheatre and its various stands and platforms in the heart of Khalid Lagoon, have been festooned with bright and attractive colors and lighting, transforming Al Majaz Island into a carnival spreading all-round joy and happiness.
Festival visitors have a truly exciting treat in store when they watch the fantastc exhibition boats of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club at perform. Adding to the excitement are the magical laser shows that will be held daily from six o'clock in the evening every hour. Game areas of the Festival unveil a whole new world of excitement by way of its adventure land, contests, maze, and numerous other attractions.
In the Cooking Corner, lovers of culinary delights will be treated to rich gastronomical experience from across the region and beyond with chefs Salam Al-Dakkak, Ghada Al-Tali and Somaya Obaid displaying their skills. There will be other innovators dealing in international cuisines like Indian and Sri Lankan.
The fun of cooking will be doubled with live demonstrations of pizza preparation, presented by Nikon, the company specialising in cameras and other imaging products.
