Sharjah24: In her remarks at the Sharjah Events Festival's opening, Mariam Al Qaseer, director of the social education department at the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), reaffirmed the importance of the department's commitment to providing innovative programming and events to its varied and inclusive audience.

Through its extensive community outreach, the Social Education Department is always looking for innovative ways to bring in people and get the social messages across in all of its activities.

Taking place at Al Majaz Waterfront, the Sharjah Events Festival, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau under the theme 'Shining with its Events,' began on the 14th and will run until the 17th of December.

Al Qaseer stated that "we expect a significant turnout, especially from families, as the event coincides with the school holiday."
