The celebrations included cultural competitions in the history of the United Arab Emirates, handicraft workshops, singing and sports performances, coloring, drawing, chess puzzles, and cultural competitions.
On this occasion, Al Hazami stressed the importance of this national occasion, saying that they commemorate the founding fathers from whose effortd we draw lessons and inspiration in building and establishing the United Arab Emirates, which, thanks to God and then through the efforts of the wise leadership, has become at the forefront of nations in all fields. He added that the occasion of the Union Day is an opportunity to renew the pledge of allegiance and loyalty and to work hard and diligently to serve the dear homeland and its continued prosperity. He thanked the committee supervising the festive programmes in the emirate, and prayed to God to keep the UAE safe and secure to continue the process of its renaissance and development.
