Sharjah24: The Sharjah Media City "Shams" marked the 52nd National Day of the United Arab Emirates at its Sharjah headquarters. The event was attended by Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), and Rashid Abdullah Al Awad, the Director, along with the executives and staff of "Shams."
Al Madfa delivered a speech, stating, "December 2nd serves as a reminder of the unity spirit, reflecting a rich history shaped by our founding fathers who preserved their heritage, safeguarded their achievements, and constructed their legacy."
He continued, "On this significant day, we honour the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, whose departure left cherished memories of his sincere national journey in the hearts of his admirers, both in his homeland and worldwide. He left an enduring impact on every part of our blessed land."
Al Madfa extended congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, commending his profound trust in the Emirate, its residents, and institutions for development and achievement. He expressed gratitude for the accomplishments achieved under his wise leadership.
He emphasized, "The future trajectory of media hinges on the steadfast belief that media is a potent instrument in the journey of civilisation and future foresight."
The celebration programme featured a military parade, an artistic performance by students from Al Dhaid School, and diverse competitions dedicated to this precious national occasion.
