2081 contestants in Sharjah Award for the Noble Quran and Sunnah

Sharjah 24: The preliminary qualifiers for the Sharjah Award for the Noble Quran and Prophet’s Sunnah, organised by the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE), have seen an atmosphere of competition and remarkable interest, in light of the increasing number of applicants for the award, which exceeds the previous years. These qualifiers come within the framework of the twenty-sixth edition of the award, for the year 2023.
Qualifiers began on the sixth of November, and are scheduled to continue until the thirtieth of November. These qualifiers are being conducted with success and remarkable interaction from the participants, competing in all categories of the award. This large turnout reflects the high numbers of those registered in the preliminary tests, whether from the Emirate of Sharjah or at the UAE level.

The qualifying events are held amidst a remarkable attendance, in light of the award’s wide fame and prestigious status, as it enjoys the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

In this context, the arbitration committees began testing applicants for the award categories, with participants competing at the state level in several categories. The total number of contestants reached 2081 participants, (878 female contestants and 763 male contestants) at the UAE level, in addition to 216 female contestants and 224 male contestants at Sharjah level.

Qualifiers come as part of SNQSE efforts aimed at encouraging participation, and within the framework of SNQSE Quranic awards organises throughout the year, especially with Sharjah Award for the Noble Quran and Prophet’s Sunnah, which is one of the most prominent and important Quranic awards, aiming at encouraging memorising the Noly Quran and understanding the Prophet’s Sunnah.
