Sharjah24: The Sharjah Committee for the 52nd Union Day Celebrations organised a massive celebration in the heritage village in Wadi Al Helo.
The celebration was attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba; Khamis Al Mazrouei, Governor of the Wadi Al Helo; Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of Kalba Municipal Council; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
Saif Al Mazrouei stated that the town's people celebrate the 52th Union Day, expressing their feelings to their homeland and showing loyalty to its wise leadership.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he added that the ceremony included carnival and heritage activities to highlight popular folklore, in addition to national poetry.
He explained that the town has witnessed tremendous prosperity in various fields, becoming a modern town with integrated services and a tourist destination in the eastern region.
