Sharjah 24: In a festive atmosphere full of pride and joy, the activities of the52nd UAE Union Day were launched in the Al Madam area, organised by the Al Madam Municipality in cooperation with the Municipal Council. The activities were held in Al Madam Public Park.

Engineer Khalifa Musabah bin Yulk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for UAE Union Day Celebrations in the Al Madam District, stated that the activities of the 52nd UAE Union Day are one of the cultural gems in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the celebrations included an array of events and activities.

Engineer Al Ketbi pointed out in an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24” that the activities included diverse artistic workshops that featured the Emirati heritage arts, and sports activities that shed light on the vitality and activity in the emirate. The celebration programme also included parades by a military band that features folk art and embody the history and rich culture of the Emirates.

Poets Mohammed bin Al Noah Al Menhali and Sultan bin Khalifa Al Tunaiji participated in a poetry evening to mark the event.

Al Ketbi stated that the celebrations witnessed wide participation from local institutions such as the Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club, the Department of Social Services, and the Falconers’ Club, thus enhancing the community spirit and cooperation among various parties.
